Onyx, or simply referred to as "Nyx", is a Gem character created by Sombronyx, the art was drawn by Quickxilver. She is an Onyx Gem with no alignment, and currently resides somewhere in Beach City on Earth.
Appearance[]
Onyx's skin is almost a dark slate blue color, and her hair is black with red starting at the end of her bangs. Her left eye is a deep sky blue, while her left eye is a cloudy silver, due to being blind in that eye (which is why it's hidden behind her bangs). Her shirt is purple, with a red lightning bolt going across her chest. She also has black leggings with rips at the knees, also in shapes of lightning bolts. She also has light blue flats with rounded toes.
History[]
Onyx was made in the Beta Kindergarten, her hole, along with others, wasn't in the best shape. She came out a tiny bit shorter than most onyxes, a few inches taller than Amethyst's height.
Onyx came out of her hole near the end of the war for Earth, and became one of White Diamond's followers. However, unlike most Gems, she was unaware of what she was meant to do. She tried to learn from both Homeworld and Crystal Gems, but she never understood. She just blindly fought for Homeworld, and was poofed during the war. She regenerated, ready to fight, but still on Earth as the Homeworld Gems went back to where they came from. Years later, she was poofed again due to a roof collapsing on her after she settled into a house at Beach City, and she regenerated again into her current regeneration.
Personality[]
Onyx is laid back and chill, she doesn't get very angry easily, and when she does it's a good idea to get out of her way. She is very good at fighting, however, and will give anything to go back to fighting again. However, when a Gem or person first meet her, she can come off as a bit rude. As the tone in her voice and the way she talks to others give most the vibe that she doesn't want them there.
Abilities[]
- Weapon Proficiency- Onyx's weapon is an authientics flail, which is summoned straight out of her Gemstone. She is very good at hitting her targets, and has poofed many Gems during the war.
Fusions[]
- When fused with Cobalt (Quickxilver's OC), they make Titanite.
Gemstone[]
Onyx's gem is located on the front of her left shoulder. It is a black hexagonal shape with facets. It has a black ring around it which is hidden inside her shoulder unless she's regenerating.
Trivia[]
- Onyx's most recent generation is the one that replaces the white diamonds on her outfit with lightning bolts- signifying that she's not a Crystal Gem or Homeworld Gem.
- Onyx's nickname, "Nyx" was the human name she gave to herself.
