I had this at the back of my head since Silk made that blog post, what would Rubellite think of Morganite? Some factors I think about is that Rubellite would probably criticize Morganite for her youth. And why not, Morganite's a friggin 1 week old. Though Morganite's combat skill for a 1 week old gem is very high, so I thought that would make her seem acceptable.
Also when Rubellite saves Chrys, Morganite would have helped Rubellite in spite of the fact Rubellite's a mentally unstable gem.
And I kinda agree with her, the people who join this wikia, we need to be a little bit nicer to them, they might just be starting to Roleplay. Most people who join tend to either lie or be noobs with roleplaying and I know experienced people can be kinda rude or mean.
So let's all work a little hard to be a little understanding and offer a hand to those who are new.
thing is though, silk went about this little "experiment" all wrong. i don't think calling users filthy apes and creating an entire blog post about ducks was a good first impression they could have made. there's been vandalism raids and nothing about it has changed. no user bans or blocks. so of course users are going to question "new" users that call them filthy apes. how exactly do you respond positively about that? also, comparing the treatment they got to the treatment that was given to foxy, and why they don't show up anymore isn't a valid argument. foxy continuously didn't follow the rules until they learned the ways of the wiki. silk just straight up insulted users. so yeah. hopefully you've all learned from this.
You missed one of Psycho's points. You may have went about this experiment wrong. Your blog post which I will say could make a good poem, wasn't relatable enough to Steven Universe.
I was trying to be nice to Foxy, but whether he thought I was is another matter entirely.
This community is centering around Steven Universe! It's why I came here, to interact with fellow SU fans. Your blog post could have been relating to Homeworld, and how you could say it's like an environmental statement about how what humans do to the earth could end up turning it like homeworld and have a much better discussion about why and not just about calling humans apes. But no, you just openly criticized humans without referencing SU once. So while some of this is our fault, you have yourself to blame.
You are right about one thing: You didn't use the term to demean us. You used an argument that we treat newcomers awfully. Let's see how we did.
Doomyboy 10/10; I welcomed him warmly, he took it in and surely enough, he fit in with the rest of us! YAAAY!
Cumulus Cloud ?/?; Not known. He just does stuff for his fanon series by himself. Not talking to anyone.
Blunderdip 9.5/10; Welcomed nicely, tries to take part where he can, even writes his own fanon series.
I even welcomed Toluene back warmly!
Everyone I mentioned didn't do something controversial in their first days. So how could you have made that allagation?
