Jade, is a rare Homeworld gem and a member of the Gem Queens.
In the earliest days of the Great Diamond Authority, it was Jades, not Pearls, that attended to the diamonds needs. These flawless Jades were made in the diamonds image, and despite not having their powers possessed their toughness and near inability to be shattered. An exceptional Jade would sing praises to the diamonds and attend their every want.
However, when the gem race began their inter stellar conquest, the Jades soon found themselves becoming obsolete. They were soon replaced by the new and efficient Pearls. The Jades were slowly pushed further and further down the Gem caste until the majority were bubbled and put into storage.
The Jade of the Gem Queens was once such gem, but managed to escape bubbling. After Mothers creation, it was Jade who sought out the newly minted flawed-diamond, and formed the Gem queens along side her.
