"Best Friends" is the 1st episode of the first season in Love and Separation, and the 1st overall episode of the series.
Synopsis[]
Rose Opal tries to tell something to Smoky Quartz, but....she is interrupted.
Plot[]
Two gems were walking. One brown and taller than the other, while the other was shorter than the brown one. The pink gem laughed. "I can't wait to get there," the brown gem said and laughed.
The pink gem smiled. She was jumping and nervously looked at the brown gem, hesitating for a moment. She stopped for a moment, and the brown gem looked at her, nervous. "What is wrong, Rose Opal," she asked.
Rose Opal looked around, and then looked at the brown gem. "Nothing, Smoky Quartz. Let's just go," she said very quickly.
The two gems arrived at a restaurant. The restaurant's name having red and brown letters. It said 'Serene Dining'. "You know, Rose Opal, I wouldn't have come here, but you like food," she looked at the door, and walked. "So I guess I will actually eat for once, and come with you."
They walked inside, and asked for a seat. The waiter told them they had to wait, and the two nodded. Rose Opal looked nervous again, and looked at Smoky Quartz. "Smoky...." she said.
"Yes.....?" Smoky Quartz asked. She wondered what Rose Opal was going to tell her, and was slightly intrigued. She didn't show it however.
"I am-" Rose Opal was interrupted by a smash of wall, and the two slided back. The animal that destroyed the wall looked like a manticore. It roared, and noticed Rose Opal and Smoky Quartz. The two looked at each and nodded. Smoky Quartz summoned a ball shaped weapon, and Rose Opal summoned a staff. The manticore flew up, and charged at Rose Opal. Smoky Quartz's weapon took the form of a hammer, and she hit at the manticore. The manticore landed down, and Rose Opal threw her staff near its gem, and threw her staff at the manticore's gem. ""Take that, monster," Rose Opal said, as the gem retreated, and Smoky Quartz bubbled it.
"So what did you want to tell me?" Smoky Quartz asked. Rose Opal just looked down, then at the bubbled gem. "I will tell you tomorrow."
